How can I open an account via eKYC?

To open an online payment account on the MSB mBank application, please follow the steps below:

• Step 1: Open the MSB mBank application and select Open Account.

• Step 2: The Terms and Conditions will be displayed on the screen. Tick the checkbox to agree and select Continue.

• Step 3: Enter your mobile phone number to register with the bank and receive an OTP for verification, then select Continue.

• Step 4: Enter the OTP code sent to your registered phone number (the OTP is valid for 2 minutes).

• Step 5: On the instruction screen, select Continue.

• Step 6: Capture the back side of your Citizen ID card, noting the following requirements:

  • Place the back side of the chip-based Citizen ID card in the center of the frame; the system will automatically capture the image.

  • The Citizen ID card must be valid.

  • The card must be the original document (not scanned or photocopied).

  • Ensure the image is clear, fully visible, and not blurred.

• Step 7: After successfully scanning the NFC chip, the application will display your personal information. If the information is correct, select Confirm Information.

• Step 8: Perform facial verification by selecting Start Capture and moving your face closer to the camera as instructed.

• Step 9: Provide additional information including source of income, income level, occupation, position, and email address.

• Step 10: Change the initial password provided by the system and select your quick login method, then choose Continue.

• Step 11: Set up your login PIN.

• Step 12: Select Register for a standard account. Once the account is successfully created, the system will display your account number.

Note: This service is available to customers aged 15 and above using mobile devices that support NFC technology.
