Warning about fake bank messages to fraudulently appropriate money
29/12/2021With crime tactics becoming more and more sophisticated, fake messagesare saved in the same section as the bank’s real messages on the phoneand often have content such as: Notification of an account with unusual transactions abroad that need to be authenticated; or The account is temporarily locked, requires updating information, … and all require customers to access the attached link. This link leads to a fake website with the same interface as the bank’s website, requiring customers to enter their Internet Banking login name and password along with the OTP code. If you do so, the crooks will get the password and OTP to steal money from the customer’s account.
