Vietnam Gold Star Award 2010 is a great opportunity for businesses to confirm their reputations and empower their brands on the domestic and international market. In addition, it helps to build brand image and positions of the leading brands in Vietnam. It is also an important activity of Vietnamese young entrepreneurs contributing to the celebration of 64th National Day on 2-9 and the 1000 year anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi.
This is the 8th year Vietnam Gold Star Award is held but this year the ceremony took place in the largest scale with the highest quality of business participation . In the 343 selected records from 56 provinces and cities nationwide, the Council voted to find TOP10, TOP 100 and TOP 200 typical brands which deserve to be honored in 2010. In particular, this year council members include the participation of representatives of the branch of work Associations, representatives of the General Tax Department, the State Securities Commission, the State Audit of Vietnam and representatives of international audit company KPMG. The total turnover of TOP brands reached 453 trillion VND in 2009, and increased by 5% in 2010, equivalent to 475.6 trillion VND; so it contributed 43.9 trillion to national budget (increased by 28.1% compared to2009) and created jobs for 390 thousand employees (increased by 27.8% compared to 2009).

This was the second consecutive time Maritime Bank participated in the vote “Vietnam Gold Star Award” and honored to enter Top100 strong brands in Vietnam. To achieve such results, Maritime Bank has always concentrated on building brand development strategy and improving its products according to international standards, seriously considers competitiveness capacity in a comprehensive way. Maritime Bank brand has passed the strict criteria of the award such as to ensure business transparency, turnover, profit rate on equity, sales growth; to ensure the sustainable growth of business, the State budget contributions, charitable contributions and the management capability and risk control, local development contributions ... In 2009, Maritime Bank contributed effectively to the development of the banking sector in particular and the socio-economic development throughout the country in general, with the positive business results such as the total sales reached more than 4,700 billion VND, creating jobs for nearly 500 labors.

That Maritime Bank was awarded Vietnam Gold Star 2010 is a big honor. It is also a strong motivation to promote the Bank to continue its efforts to deserve the position of a strong brand, not only in the business community of Vietnam, but also in international market.
